Direct Charitable Expenditure – Grants and Donations 2010 and 2011

During the last financial year of the West Lancashire Mark Charity Fund it is pleasing to state that for the first time ever, we actually gave away more monies in donations to Charity than we received from our income sources. A remarkable result, particularly since all of the monies were donated to local worthy causes throughout the Mark Province of West Lancashire. I therefore list below for your information a summary of the charity donations made over the past two years.

It should be noted that circa 80% of the money donated to the West Lancashire Mark Charity Fund is used to support local community projects and it is our aim to continue to do so in the future.

During this financial year we have already committed nearly £19,000 to a variety of charitable causes ranging from a communication computer for a severely disabled young man in Southport, roof refurbishment for Walney Scouts, a television for the Children’s Hospice in Blackpool, a laptop computer for Tommy’s Gym in Fleetwood and many others which are under development before being finalized.

We are indeed extremely grateful for each and every donation received regardless of its value, it is only through the generosity of all the Mark Masons across the Province that we are able to continue this work on your behalf.
